What services do you offer?
We offer costumes, shoes and accessories to hire for parties, events, theatre shows, films etc with some items available to buy to complete the costume (face paint, etc).

How much is the hire charge?
The hire price for a complete costume can vary from £18-40 for adults and £10-15 for children.

We are on the A46, just outside of Nailsworth on the bottom floor of the Tradeplas Building, underneath Blacks Bikes. Our car parking is down on the right side of the building. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are struggling to find us.

What if I want to hire a costume?
You can inquire about a costume by contacting us or just come on down and see what we have to offer. You can take your costume then and there or book ahead to reserve for a future event.

What sorts of costumes do you have?
We have a huge variety of costumes to hire. Our stock includes:

– Romans and Greeks
– Vikings
– Medieval and Tudor
– Regency and Georgian
– Victorian
– Pirates
– Military-wear (including RAF, Army and Naval officers)
– Costumes spanning the eras from 1920-1990
– Film, TV and Book characters
– International costumes (eastern, Indian, European etc)
– Halloween
– Children’s costumes (matching the school curriculum and characters)

We also have a huge array of complementary accessories and shoes.

Who do you hire costumes to?
Everyone who requires a costumes. We hire to private individuals, amateur and professional theatre groups, community societies, charities, corporate events, etc.

What are the costumes suitable for?
Parties, Theatre Shows, Films, Events, Weddings, etc.

What does a «costume» comprise?
A «costume» is a complete outfit, so a suit or dress with corresponding accessories, hats and shoes, etc.

Do you hire out single items?
Yes, you can hire single items. They will be priced separately.

Can I mix and match items from different complete costumes?
Yes, our costumes are only a guide to what works together and you are more than welcome to mix and match to make a completely unique costume.

Do you hire out military uniforms?
Yes, we have Military uniforms for RAF, Army and Navy from a variety of periods.

Do you have costumes for children?
Yes, we have an extensive range of children costumes. Our stock includes costumes matching the current curriculum, historical costumes and well-known character costumes. These range in ages and sizes, so please contact us if you require something specific.

Do you hire wigs?
Yes, we have an extensive range of wigs to hire.

Can you alter costumes?
Yes, we can do minor alterations. However, these can only be done for advanced bookings, so if you think you may need an alteration then please come in early to try on the costumes.

Do you make bespoke costumes?
Yes, we can make bespoke costumes. Please contact us for further details.

Hiring A Costumes

How long is the hire period?
Our costume hire is for 1 week. For any additional week the hire charge is reduced by 50%.

What are your hire charges?
We charge anywhere between £18-40 for a full costume for 1 week. We also charge a refundable deposit of between £10-30 per item.

We have different rates for theatre/film groups so please contact us for further information.

When do I pay?
Costumes must be paid for in full before taking the costume.

Can I pay with cash?
Yes.

Can I pay by card?
Yes.

Can I pay on account?
For large organisations, we can set up an account for them to work with.

What if I don’t return the costume on time?
A further charge will be made if the costume is not returned on time. If not returned for a prolonged period we may charge the customer for a full replacement of the costume.

What if I need to cancel my order?
You may cancel your order, however we ask that you please let us know as soon as possible.

What happens if a costume is damaged or lost?
Once the costumes leave our premises, they become the responsibility of the hirer. Please let us know if costumes are damaged when they are returned to us, so that we can repair them before they are replaced in to our stock. If a cost is incurred, then this amount will be charged at costume return.

Do you arrange transport for the costumes?
No, we do not offer this service currently.
